Classes are offered year-round on most weekends (Saturday and Sunday), except major holidays.

Weekday classes are available once each month for those who prefer a non-weekend commitment.  Current weekday offerings scheduled for 2012 follow.  Additional dates may become available if demand warrants.

  • March 1-2 - 7:30 to 4:30 (Thursday - Friday)

  • March 29-30 - 7:30 to 4:30 (Thursday - Friday)

  • April 26-27 - 7:30 to 4:30 (Thursday - Friday)

  • May 24-45 - 7:30 to 4:30 (Thursday - Friday)

Registrations for all classes are taken on-line and are on a first come first served basis.  A class must have a minimum of four and a maximum of eight students to make.  If sufficient enrollment is not realized by the end of the day on the Thursday immediately preceding the class start date, the class will be cancelled.  Students will be offered a place in subsequent classes or be issued a refund.  It is uncommon for a class to not make, but it does happen from time to time, usually in the slower winter months. The Registration Info page provides additional information on the registration process and current schedule availability.

A typical two-day schedule follows:

    • 1:00 to 4:30 PM - Range Exercises 13-17 and Skill Evaluation

Times shown above are estimates only.  Each class is different as some move along smoothly and quickly while others require additional time and effort.

Classes are held rain or shine, freezing or steaming.  Breaks are offered on the range at regular intervals.  If the summertime heat and humidity are difficult for you to handle, or if you have health concerns, please consider taking the class in the non-summer months.  You will be outside in direct sunlight with helmets and long sleeves often sitting on a bike with a hot engine running between your legs.  If you are not used to being outdoors for extended periods of time or if you are not in good physical condition, it is strongly suggested that you register for the class in the cooler months.  Refunds are not given to students who are unable to complete the course.

In order to earn a completion certificate you are required to be present for every session.  Students will not be admitted or allowed to continue the course if they are late for a session.  A written knowledge test consisting of fifty questions must be passed by answering forty questions successfully.  The knowledge test is administered at the end of the classroom portion of the course.  A skill evaluation is required for the student to demonstrate their ability to execute various maneuvers, in a safe and controlled manner, while on a motorcycle.  Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in dismissal from the class.  Course fees will not be refunded and the student must re-register and complete the entire class to earn a completion certificate.

If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign your course waiver forms and a Consent for Medical Treatment of a Minor form.  Please click the appropriate link to access the forms in pdf and bring them with you to class.  Or, your parent or guardian can accompany you the first day and sign the forms.  You will not be allowed to ride a training motorcycle without the forms properly executed.
