Your instructors are experienced riders who have successfully completed an instructor preparation course and biennial recertification requirements.  Alvin College strives to maintain the highest quality instructors and encourages student feedback to ensure a consistently high level of instruction.  Should you experience dissatisfaction in your instructor you are encouraged to make your feelings known to the program coordinator or director of continuing education.  Contact information is available by clicking this link.

Program Coordinator – Raymond Ruiz.  Raymond has been a certified motorcycle safety instructor since 1998.  He grew up in Houston.  He is a real estate broker by profession, writes news and current event stories for the Manvel Reporter News, and teaches business software classes at Alvin College.  He resides in Pearland, is married, and has two boys, ages 16 and 6.  Raymond rides a 2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 750.  His email address is rpr@comcast.net and his website is www.rpruiz.com.
 

 

Instructor – AJ Chapman.  AJ has been a certified motorcycle safety instructor since 2007.  He was born and raised in Galveston.  He is a retired captain in the US Army and currently serves as a Senior Army Instructor in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Clear Brook High School.  He lives in Friendswood and rides a 2004 Honda Gold Wing and a 2006 Honda VTX 1300.  His email address is achapman@ccisd.net.
